NADOHE Town Hall Information:
Commitment, Strategy, and Action: The Role of Diversity Officers inAdvancing Anti-Racism in Times of Challenge and PandemicTown Hall1:00 - 2:30 pm, EDT, on Thursday, October 29
The broad civil unrest following the killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery brought forth a resounding call for social justice and a formal commitment to promote an anti-racism agenda in broader society. Included in that call to action, was the expectation that higher education explore its commitment to racial justice and the necessary steps to underscore that work. This Town Hall seeks to explore the expectations and responsibilities of Diversity Officers charged with helping colleges and universities commit to an anti-racism agenda. This 1.5 hour event will feature NADOHE’S President, a panel of Diversity Officers, and other higher education stakeholders committed to bringing attention and awareness on the subject.
